Darrin Rose is a popular comedian and an award-winning TV writer, actor and director. He is best known to audiences as Bill in eight seasons of the sitcom Mr. D, and as the host of Match Game. He is on the cult hit Hulu comedy Letterkenny and appeared twice on The Late Late Show on CBS. Rose stars in the HBOmax series Home Sweet Rome, and is part of the hit new HBOmax show Heated Rivalry.
Rose is an eight-time performer at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and has many million+ views viral videos online. Darrin has appeared on Kevin Hart’s LOL on Peacock, and twice on The Late Late Show on CBS.
Rose wrote and directed the heist comedy One Last Last Heist, which played at the Tribeca Film Festival. He has developed television for Sony, Disney, CBS Studios, CBC, and CTV, and wrote on the CBS sitcom Happy Together starring Damon Wayans Jr.
Rose was called “Hilarious!” by TV Guide, “impeccable” by the Globe & Mail, and “one of the hottest comics” by GQ magazine. He has won a Canadian Comedy Award, two WGC Canadian Screenwriting Awards and been nominated for two Canadian Screen Awards, for his stand up special and for acting on Mr. D. He was recognized as a Top 50 Under 50 by his alma mater, Concordia University.
Darrin tours internationally as a stand-up comedian and has played the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the Borgata in Atlantic City; and in Hong Kong, Singapore, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, France and the United Kingdom. He tours regularly across the United States and Canada.

Darrin has appeared in almost 300 episodes of television, on networks such as HBOmax, Netflix, CBC, Hulu, CBS, Comedy Network, NBC and the BBC. He has written for many TV shows, including CBS’s Happy Together, CBC’s Mr. D, Disney’s Puppy Dog Pals, and IFC’s NGO. He has developed shows for Sony, Disney, CBS Studios, CBC and Bell Media.
He has directed and produced three short films through his Any Other Names Productions banner, which also develops TV projects. His short One Last Last Heist was nominated for Best Narrative Short at the Tribeca Film Festival, and was developed as a TV show by Sony.
He is a 2x Canadian Screenwriting Award winner, and a Canadian Comedy Award winner. He has been nominated for two Canadian Screen Awards.
